Vom 22.-26. Juli findet die weltweit größte Konferenz zum Thema HIV und Aids in München statt. Erstmals in Deutschland, haben sich die Veranstalter die baerische Landeshauptstadt als Ort der Veranstaltung ausgewählt – wir sind begeistert! AIDS 2024 ist eine einzigartige Schnittstelle zwischen Forschung und Community und bringt unter dem Motto "Put People First!" rund 15.000 Personen zusammen: Wissenschaftler_innen, Politiker_innen, Angehörige der Gesundheitsberufe, Menschen mit HIV, Medien und Communities.

"Put People First – der Mensch im Mittelpunkt"

AIDS 2024 wird Menschen zusammenbringen, die mit HIV leben, davon betroffen sind und daran arbeiten, um Wissen, bewährte Verfahren und Erfahrungen aus der HIV-Bekämpfung der letzten 40 Jahre sowie aus der Bekämpfung von COVID-19, Mpox und anderen Bedrohungen der öffentlichen Gesundheit auszutauschen. Die Konferenz wird eine wirkungsvolle Plattform bieten, um strategisch auf eine einheitliche und gleichberechtigte Weise auf die Pandemie zu reagieren.  

Die Münchner Aids-Hilfe ist mittendrin

Als Münchner Aids-Hilfe sind wir „civil society partner“ und sind als lokale Partnerorganisation Teil der Konferenzvorbereitung. Wir haben ein Gremium im Haus, das sich der Vorbereitung widmet und werden mit einem Stand im Global Village vertreten sein. Insofern sind wir als Verein dort sehr präsent.

Kommt ins "Global Village"!

AIDS 2024 ist mehr als reines Fachtreffen. Auf dem Münchner Messegelände kommt ganz München zusammen, denn in einer der Messehallen wir ein "Global Village" entstehen, ein Ort, an dem sich die Welt begegnet. Infostände, Bühnen, Ausstellungen bieten ein umfangreichen und kostenloses Angebot, das seinesgleichesn sucht. Hier bilden sich Freundschaften und man erfährt von der Lebenssituation anderer Menschen auf der ganzen Welt, wie sie Chancen nutzen und Lösungen finden. Außerdem gibt es jede Menge so genannter "Side events", also Partys, Ausstellungen oder Führungen, die paralle zur Konferenz in ganz München angeboten werden. AIDS 2024 ist ein einmaliges Get-together und eine Gelegenheit, die jede_r ergreifen sollte!

Anmeldungen für AIDS 2024 sind ab sofort möglich und müssen über das Onlineformular auf der Webseite www.iasociety.org eingereicht werden. Für Medienvertreter_innen und für akkreditierte Journalist_innen ist die Anmeldung kostenlos.

From 22-26 July, the world's largest conference on HIV and AIDS will take place in Munich. For the first time in Germany, the organisers have chosen the Bavarian capital as the venue for the event - we are thrilled! AIDS 2024 is a unique interface between research and the community and brings together around 15,000 people under the motto "Put People First!": Scientists, politicians, healthcare professionals, people living with HIV, the media and communities.

AIDS 2024 will bring together people living with, affected by and working on HIV to share knowledge, best practices and lessons learnt from the HIV response over the past 40 years, as well as from the fight against COVID-19, Mpox and other public health threats. The conference will provide an effective platform to strategically respond to the pandemic in a unified and equitable way.  

Munich AIDS service is in the middle of it

As Münchner Aids-Hilfe, we are a "civil society partner" and are part of the conference preparations as a local partner organisation. We have an in-house committee dedicated to the preparations and will be represented with a stand in the Global Village. In this respect, we are very present there as an organisation.

Come to the Global Village!

AIDS 2024 is more than just a specialist meeting. The whole of Munich will come together at the Munich Exhibition Centre, as a "Global Village" will be created in one of the exhibition halls, a place where the world meets. Information stands, stages and exhibitions offer an extensive and free programme that is second to none. This is where friendships are formed and people learn about the life situations of other people around the world, how they utilise opportunities and find solutions. There will also be plenty of side events, such as parties, exhibitions and guided tours, which will be offered throughout Munich to coincide with the conference. AIDS 2024 is a unique get-together and an opportunity that everyone should seize!

Registration for AIDS 2024 is now open and must be submitted via the online form on the website www.iasociety.org. Registration is free of charge for media representatives and accredited journalists.
