Kooperation mit Uganda, Teil 2

Von der Welt Aids Konferenz haben wir viele großartige Impulse und Kontakte mitgenommen. Gleich zwei NGOs in Uganda sind uns besonders ans Herz gewachsen. Neben RuWoNet (siehe Post unten) auch Edouganda, eine Institution, die sich für die Bildung und Erziehung ugandischer Kinder stark macht.
"Wir wollen zur Lösung eines der wichtigsten Themen unserer Generation beitragen", so Edouganda-Gründer Brian Mutebi, der zehn Jahre alt war, als sein Mutter an den Folgen von Aids verstarb. "Wir haben hilflosen Waisenkindern ein Dach über dem Kopf gegeben und Familien, die von der COVID-19-Pandemie betroffen waren, mit Lebensmitteln versorgt. Und: Wir haben den Zugang zu Bildung für diejenigen ermöglicht, die sonst keine Hoffnung darauf haben. Wir haben viele positive Veränderungen angestoßen für ein besseres Leben in Uganda."

The World AIDS Conference gave us a lot of great ideas and contacts. Two NGOs in Uganda have become particularly close to our hearts. In addition to RuWoNet (see post below), there is also Edouganda, an organisation that campaigns for the education and upbringing of Ugandan children.
"We want to contribute to solving one of the most important issues of our generation," says Edouganda founder Brian Mutebi, who was ten years old when his mother died of Aids. "We have given helpless orphans a roof over their heads and provided food to families affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. And: we have enabled access to education for those who otherwise have no hope of it. We have initiated many positive changes for a better life in Uganda."
